 I am interested in plant systematics, diversity, and evolutionary ecology.

My research uses both classic and modern methods to study higher plant species in the flora of Iran especially in the western parts of the country.

Another theme of my research is focused on climate change effects on subalpine and alpine ecosystems in the Zagros mountain range.
